At Welp, we have the best customers. Thank you for these kind words and sending us these beautiful photos. We appreciate them and we appreciate you!

“Just wanted to send you a couple of pics of the beautiful babies I purchased from you. I love my little mags. Four have names, the rest will come later. They have an acre and a half to play in and we are installing a pond. My babies are getting very big

and beautiful!”

“Everyone is doing well and the sweet baby Cornish Rocks couldn’t get any cuter either…

Thank you for sending such beautiful healthy babies to me, your hatchery certainly has strong stock. We only lost a few, as is expected but in general they are tough and perky birds.”

"I’m so excited! This has been such a happy day because when I started it with coffee and the sunrise I said to myself today is the day for the baby yard birds! Haha My daughter is really happy I have been showing her the YouTube videos of baby chicks and telling her we have some chickens coming to live here. She said “I want chickens in my house.” Which is the true seal of approval. She’s autistic and bless her heart I won’t be able to let her hold them without me there because she might squeeze them accidentally.. but this is gonna be so good for her. Healthy food and fun for the whole family. I love your company you especially were so sweet to me. I guess it seems silly to have tears in my eyes for a shipment of 77 baby birds but I can’t help it! I’m like smiling and teared up at same time. When we hung up I told my son we have chickens coming and he just smiled.

I can read him like a book. He’s thinking fried egg sandwiches with bacon lol I know that look!!

Hugs to all of you and I look forward to being the best

“yard bird” mama I can be!"

Welp Hatchery speciali es in Cornish Rock Broilers. These are fast growing, meat-type chickens grown and raised by thousands of Americans across the country. We often use the term e plode when referring to their rapid growth, as they are in the 5-6 pound dressed weight range at 49-56 days. Due to their fast growth rate, they should be managed a little bit differently than other breeds and will be ready to butcher around 6-8 weeks of age. About 90 of our Cornish Rocks are sold as straight run chicks which means you should have early fryers at 5-6 weeks of age. For roaster weights 8-10 pounds dressed , take pullets to 12-15 weeks of age and dress them out.

Common mistakes

Filling out forms for services like those provided by Welp Hatchery requires attention to detail. Often, people make mistakes without realizing it, which can lead to delays or confusion in processing their requests. Here are eight common errors to be aware of:
  1. Not double-checking personal information. It might seem basic, but errors in your name, address, or contact details can lead to significant communication problems. Always review your personal information for accuracy before submitting the form.

  2. Skipping over required fields. Some sections of the form are marked as mandatory. Failing to fill these out can result in an incomplete submission, which often means your form gets returned or rejected outright.

  3. Using unclear handwriting. If you're filling out a form by hand, ensure your writing is legible. Unclear handwriting can mislead or confuse hatchery staff, affecting the processing of your order.

  4. Selecting the wrong bird breed. With an array of options available, it's easy to accidentally mark the wrong breed. This mistake can lead to unexpected results in your order, so double-check your selections.

  5. Overlooking quantity discounts. Some hatcheries offer discounts based on the number of chicks you order. Missing out on these discounts means you might pay more than necessary, so review the pricing structure carefully.

  6. Ignores shipping dates and guidelines. Not paying attention to shipping dates can result in receiving your order at an inconvenient time. Be sure to check and specify preferred shipping dates to avoid surprises.

  7. Forgetting to specify gender preference. Depending on your needs, you might prefer hens (females) for egg production or roosters (males) for other purposes. If you don't specify, you may not get the mix you were hoping for.

  8. Neglecting to review the health and vaccination options. Many hatcheries offer vaccination services for your new chicks. Failing to consider these options can leave your birds vulnerable to preventable diseases.

By being aware of these common pitfalls, you can ensure a smoother process when ordering from hatcheries. Remember, the key is in the details. Carefully reviewing your form before submission can save time and help guarantee that you get exactly what you're expecting.

Documents used along the form

When individuals or businesses decide to engage in poultry farming, utilizing services like those offered by hatcheries becomes a crucial step. Hatcheries, like Welp Hatchery, provide a variety of poultry, which can range from chickens and ducks to more exotic birds, depending on your agricultural or personal needs. The Welp Hatchery form is typically the starting point for potential buyers to place orders. However, this form is often accompanied by other documents and forms to ensure the process meets both the buyer's requirements and regulatory compliance. Understanding these additional forms is essential for a smooth transaction and successful poultry management.

  • NPIP Certificate: The National Poultry Improvement Plan (NPIP) certificate is vital for tracking the health and breeder quality of the birds. This document assures buyers that the poultry they are purchasing complies with health and safety standards set by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. It not only instills confidence in the health of the birds but also is often a requirement for transporting poultry across state lines.
  • Feed and Care Instructions: Detailed guidance on the feed and care of the poultry is usually provided to ensure the buyer is well-informed about nutritional needs, housing, and overall care for the birds. These instructions help first-time owners and experienced farmers alike maintain healthy flocks.
  • Order Confirmation Form: Once an order is placed, an order confirmation form is typically issued. This document outlines the specifics of the purchase, including the types and quantities of birds ordered, prices, and expected delivery dates. It serves as a record of the transaction and helps in planning for the arrival of the new birds.
  • Health Guarantee and Return Policy: Most hatcheries provide a health guarantee and a clear return policy in case the birds are not as expected upon arrival. This document is crucial for protecting the buyer's investment and ensuring satisfaction with the hatchery's service. It outlines the procedures for reporting problems and the conditions under which returns or refunds are accepted.

Together with the Welp Hatchery form, these documents form a comprehensive toolkit that supports the poultry buying process. They serve not only as a record of the transaction but also as essential guides for maintaining the health and productivity of the flock. For anyone entering into this business or expanding their current operations, being familiar with and understanding these documents will facilitate a successful partnership with the hatchery and ensure the well-being of the birds.

Similar forms

  • The Animal Transfer Agreement form is similar to the Welp hatchery form because both documents facilitate the transfer of living creatures from one owner to another. They typically outline details like the health condition of the animals, any warranties provided, and responsibilities of the new owner upon transfer.

  • The Pet Adoption Application shares similarities because it gathers information about potential owners to ensure a good match between them and the pets. Like the Welp hatchery form, it may collect details on the living arrangements, experience with animals, and expectations in taking care of them.

  • Livestock Sale Contract documents are quite similar, focusing on the transaction aspect of selling farm animals. They detail the terms of sale, including payment, delivery of the animals, guarantees regarding health and breeding status, mirroring aspects of the Welp hatchery form in terms of the specificity about the animal's condition and the terms of the transaction.

  • The Agricultural Lease Agreement can be compared because it deals with farm-related activities, including the use of animals and land. While primarily concerned with leasing out land or equipment, when it involves animals, it details care instructions, responsibilities, and expectations similar to the provisions one might find in the Welp hatchery form focusing on the care and management of poultry.

  • Lastly, the Animal Boarding Agreement is similar in that it outlines care provisions for animals under someone else's temporary care. It ensures that specifics about the animal's needs, medical care, and emergency contact information are officially documented, akin to the thoroughness seen in the Welp hatchery form regarding the care and handling of the animals post-transfer.
